Decree FER1 - Renewables in Italy
FER decree: go-ahead for 5.4 billion euros
Good news for renewables in Italy: the European Commission has released the long-awaited FER1 decree that provides for 5.4 billion to support renewable energy!
The decree, which should be operational by the end of June, is intended to support production from renewable sources (such as wind, photovoltaic and hydroelectric): the incentives will be provided in the form of rewards in addition to the market price, which however it will have to be less than the difference between the average production cost for each technology and the market price.
In the case of projects with a capacity greater than MW, a competitive bidding procedure will be launched open to all installations, which will set the prize.
