Hybrid air-to-water inverter split heat pumps, consisting of one external unit and one indoor unit (which includes a hydronic module and a separate R410A/water heat exchanger from the external unit, plus a condensing boiler unit).
The water circuit is fully protected from freezing if the wall-mounted indoor unit is installed inside the home; the connection to the outdoor unit is always made through refrigerant piping containing fluorinated gas R410A.
