THE SOLAR Yingli Green Energy is ranked SECOND in the EFFICIENCY TEST PERFORMED BY TUV Rheinland

Jul 26, 2011
Yingli Green Energy, solar energy company and one of the largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers in the world, which markets its products under the brand Yingli Solar, announced that the company's multicrystalline PV module has established itself in the "performance test performed by TUV Rheinland" ranking as the second among the 13 forms submitted by eleven participants PV module manufacturers from Europe, North America and Asia.

The year of probation lasted from 1 May 2010 to 30 April 2011, during which it was measured the actual performance of all PV modules produced by the participants in real solar conditions and compared with the simulation of sunlight.
By calculating the average yield of energy of all the PV modules, the module multicrystalline of Yingli Green Energy has generated an efficiency of 1.4% above the average, 3.1% more than last classified and only 0 , 3% less than top performers.

In practice, for a commercial project of 30 kWp made in Germany, the multicrystalline module Yingli Green Energy would generate about 1000 kWh of electricity annually in more than modules of the bottom of the performer.
"For our tests, which took place in Cologne, we used equipment that can ensure the highest accuracy in the measurement of the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and the measurement of the IV curve.
For a period of one year, were measured energy production of 13 photovoltaic modules presented by 11 participants. The data were then normalized to 1 Wp power STC measured by TUV and compared with each other, "announced Mr. Cristian Bauerdick," performance test TUV Rheinland, 2010 ". The results can give an idea about the operating performance in real environmental conditions and with a temperate climate, as in Cologne (Germany).

"We took part for the first time in this test and got a place for it than the other competitors," said Dr.Dengyuan Chief Technology Officer of Yingli Green Energy. "We are very pleased with the results, which we believe reflects the excellent quality of our products."

Mr. Liansheng Miao, Chairman and CEO of Yingli Green Energy has also said: "The results demonstrate our continued commitment to technological research and improving the efficiency of processes to ensure greater efficiency and stability, which in turn provide investment returns even higher for our end customers. "
Note: Measurements made during the "test energy efficiency, 2010" by TUV Rheinland provide a margin of tolerance of +1% and -1.5%, which should be considered when comparing the results of participating products.
